Constance Walsh

Constance began her dance training with Michael Fokine, Jr. After attending the New Jersey School of the Performing Arts, she majored in dance at the University of Maryland. She received a scholarship at the Martha Graham School and was chosen to choreograph for the prestigious 1975 Young Choreographers Series created by Ms. Graham. Constance has performed with Pearl Lang, Sara Rudner, and Christopher Gillis. For nine years she directed and toured her own dance company based in New York City. Constance created CLassWorks Dance Studio in 1991 in Easton, Maryland. By the summer of 1997, due to the increase in enrollment, Constance renovated a 6,000 square foot space into a dance school, in the heart of historic downtown Easton. In 1998, Constance was appointed to serve as a member of the board of the Maryland State Arts Council by Governor Glendening. At present, Constance continues to conduct master classes and workshop classes in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
