Dance Harrison Street presents original choreography and the work of outstanding guest choreographers in the Mid-Atlantic area.
     

Constance Walsh is Dance Harrison Street's Principal Choreographer and Artistic Director. Constance started her career in choreography when she was chosen to choreograph for the 1975 Young Choreographers Series created by Martha Graham. Constance has created many pieces for Dance Harrison Street including "Either Way", "Circle of Gypsies", "Faeries from A Midsummer Night's Dream", and "Thank You is Not a Rose."

   
 

Vladimir Anguelov has choreographed two numbers exclusively for Dance Harrison Street: "Tango Trois" and "Rush Hour." Also two other works, "It's a Man's World" performed by Rasta Thomas and "Marionette" performed by Connor Walsh and Joanna DeFelice have been presented at the DHS studio.
Vladimir began his dance training at the National Ballet School in Sofia, Bulgaria. After graduating from the National Ballet Scool, he performed with several companies throughout Europe. Thereafter, Vladimir moved to the United States and received a Master of Arts in Dance/Choreography from American University. He was resident choreographer and associate artistic director for the Loudoun Ballet Company in Virginia. In 1996, he received a Choreography Award from the prestigious International Ballet Competition in Varna, Bulgaria. As an independent choreographer as well as choreographer in residence at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC, his works are now performed both internationally and nationally.
His latest work over the last season include new pieces for the Kirov Academy of Ballet; for the Vail International Dance Festival in Vail, CO; for the Kennedy Center theater production of "Soul Possessed"; for the San Francisco Ballet in San Francisco, CA ; and a choreography for the up-coming TV-series "Cool Women" by the Hollywood director Debbie Allen.

   
  Stephen Baronovics received his dance training with Gayle Parmelee in New Orleans, Louisiana and later with Mary Day at the Washington School of Ballet. He was a member of the National Ballet, Houston Ballet, Basel Ballet, Dutch National Ballet and The Washington Ballet. His repertoire consisted soloist and principal roles in both the classical and contemporary ballets. He was owner and director of the Georgetown School of Ballet. Stephan is currently on the faculty of the Washington School of Ballet and a producer for "America's Most Wanted."
Stephen's work, "Leaving Home" was performed at Dance Harrison Street by Elizabeth Eden, Jessica Santos and Patrick Shea.
   
   

Lucy Bowen McCauley studied dance on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School and dance with the Joffrey Concert Group. She also danced with the Maryland Ballet, Virginia State Ballet, D.C. Contemporary Dance Theatre, Daniel West Dancers and became a founding member of Eric Hampton Dance. In 1996 she founded Bowen McCauley Dance. Her work has been selected for the Prince George's County Publick Playhouse Choreographer's Showcase and presented by the Washington School of Ballet, D.C. Dance Theatre, and Manassas Dance Company. Lucy currently teaches ballet, modern and stretch at the Maryland Youth Ballet.
Her works, "Foot Fetish" and "Under My Skin" were performed at DHS by Peter Stark and Mary Rodgers Henley.

   
   

Adrienne Dellas-Thornton began her ballet training in her native home of Detroit. She has performed principal roles in classical ballets such as Cinderella, Swan Lake and Giselle. In Korea, Adreinne established the ballet department at the SunHwa Arts School where several of her students have become soloists in renowned dance companies throughout the world. In 1984 Adrienne became the founding artistic director for the Universal Ballet Company. Her full-length ballet, "Shim Chung" was premiered internationally. Adrienne is a recipient of the Presidential Award for Choreography (Korea) and the Choreographic Award for the 1988 Olympics. She is currently the director of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy in Culver City, California.

Brian Roberts received his early training in Boston from Samual Kurkjian and Leo Guerard. He left Boston to train with Stanley Williams on scholarship at the American School of Ballet where he also performed with the Lincoln Center Lecture Series and appeared in George Balanchine's revival of "The Flood." Brian has been a member of the Boston Ballet Repertory Ballet, The Pennsylvania Ballet, and The Metropolitan Opera Ballet at Lincoln Center. Brian received a Master's degree in dance from American University in 1997. Brian choreographed and taught for both dance companies and universities alike, here and abroad, including the Washington Ballet, New World School of the Arts, Florida Dance Festival, American University, Towson State University, among others. He is currently the faculty of the Miami Ballet School as well as director of Dance Outreach.
